I was born and raised in Northern CA. Arriving in Houston on 04 JUL 70 with my family, just after high school graduation. I studied pre-Biology requirement classes for two years before Joining the Navy for 4 years. Hon. Dischg AW-2 in June 1976. Returned to Houston and took vocational training (to certify my substantial automotive knowledge, for a year before joining Shell Oil Co. running test engines and then starting core classes at UHCC in May, 1977. Grad with a degree in Political Sci, 3.67 gpa (blame college algebra- I do!) while working full time in Aug 1980. Started UH Law School in Sep 80. Grad 1983. Licensed 1984 (then new Ethics class and exam requirement). Various positions on the civil side before settling on Criminal Defense in 1989. Thereafter, I spent 14 years as the tip of the spear for David Sprecher's Office, doing almost nothing but traffic. I conduc-ted Thousands of trials; bench and JTRL over that span. 50 K, maybe more, dismissals over these many years. President Harris County Municipal Justice Association) 1993-4 (I think!) President MJBAT (now TLOT) 1995-1996. Built. wrenched on, and raced own NHRA legal drag race car 1984 - 92. Married 'lovely Rita' in 1996. I Left DSS & Assoc. in May, 2003 to open my own shop. Now mostly involved with BMISD cases and above, including 1st Degree Felonies. Lots of Racing Upon a Highway cases. I Still accept traffic cases (and other non-traffic) for those with Class C and M or CDL (A or B), in Harris, Fort Bend, Brazoria, and Montgomery Counties. There's only so much of me to go around. so to account for logistical problems, I charge a $50 premium on all "out of Harris Co" traffic Cases. As to payment, I get paid a flat fee (advanced payment) PER OFFENSE, not per citation and at the same prices David S. charged 34 (fixin' to be 35) years ago.
