An unprecedented winter storm in Texas caused millions of people to lose power in their homes as temperatures reached single digits. Lawyers were no exception. Many had burst pipes that forced them to rely on neighbors for showers and drinking water, while internet connections were nonexistent or poor.
No heat, and no internet. Pipes bursting, houses flooding. And a scramble to get drinking water. That’s some of the challenges facing lawyers in Texas who spent this week hammered with power outages, record freezing temperatures and water shortages from an unprecedented winter storm.
